The eyes have it.

I've been seriously snooping about on blogs lately, and stumbled across this post in Do You Know April Rose . I loved this post for several reasons: (1) flowers in hair love, (2) the eye make-up and (3) those lips!

Isn't the make-up divine? Of course the model is blessed with beautiful big eyes and plump, berry-kissed lips. I can't wait to try out this look myself :)

Delicious and delightful!

I have returned home from what was the most wonderful little holiday with my boyfriend. We traveled along the Great Ocean Road and stopped at Apollo Bay. The scenery is just beautiful: the rolling green hills of the Otways behind a small town with beautiful stretching beaches.

Our holiday mainly centered around food. Ice cream featured high on the agenda; especially when The Icecream Tub has won sooooo many awards! Eggs benedict from Cafe 153 every morning were delicious and the pub meals available at Apollo Bay Hotel won our tastebuds and tummies!

An absolutely delicious and delightful holiday! :)

100 Layer Cake.

I have an obsession. Yes, another one.

Weddings. Home-made heartfelt weddings. As seen on the 100 Layer Cake blog. They are all just such a feast for the eyes, with so many beautiful ideas for your own.

I'm not getting married any time soon, but that doesn't stop me from drooling! haha The best pages are the 'Real Weddings' stories. They'll leave you all warm and fuzzy inside :)

Marie Antoinette

I have finally purchased Antonia Fraser's biography of Marie Antoinette. I have finally opened the pages and begun to read it. I can't help but slipping in images of Sofia Coppala's Marie Antoinette (2006) film with the writings of Antonia. Of course, it was this book that was used in writing the script for the film.

So far, it seems quite dense, but I am enjoying it. Such an amazing life!

Ice cream+ beach

I am sooooo excited! Beach trip is planned, and we leave tomorrow!

We'll be spending three nights down at a beach along the Great Ocean

Road. It was once a small, sleepy place, but nowadays it is bustling come summer time. We're hoping to beat that craziness by getting in before school holidays officially start.

The Prestige

The Prestige (2006) was on television last night, and I happily plonked myself in front of it. Being my first viewing, I immediately fell in love with the wardrobes of the lovely leading ladies; in particular, Olivia's (Scarlett Johansson) wardrobe.

Such a beautiful dress! It's a shame that you don't really get to appreciate it in the movie.

I loved the hair accessories too. The big flowers in the hair - what's not to love?? I need to get brave and do it myself!

And the lovely sparkely butterflies in Angier's (Piper Perabo) hair. It looked divine!

As for the movie itself... It was interesting. I'm still debating whether I liked it or not. Great costume eye candy, and that's the main thing!

Christmas Wishlist

Dear Santa,

Christmas is near! And I have very eagerly compiled my Christmas Wishlist :)

1. As previously mentioned, I would love Eleanor Herman's book Sex with the Queen. Anne Boleyn gets a big mention in the blurb, so what wouldn't there be to like? ;)

2. The Tudors DVD set. Either of just Season 4, or the big box set goodness you can get. I'm forever lending my own DVD copies out to others, so it seems only right that I have two copies of them all :D

3. An iPhone. Yes, I wanna join the bandwagon. To be fair though, my ipod (which lasted me an amazing 6 years) and phone are either dead and/or dying. And you can play Sneezies on the iPhone. And Words. And that Fruit Ninja game. And oh god how I hate myself now. But I want one!

4. A nice, preferably built-in, desk with shelves. My current desk is the size of a large beast - and that's largely the problem. I want shelves to show off my ever-growing book and teapot collections. Right now, nothing fits. So let's start from scratch and do it all over again, please!

5. A romantic holiday down the beach with my beloved boyfriend. I missed out on an earlier holiday down the beach this year because of my huge uni demands and I want to make up for it now! So give me some relaxing sunlight, ice cream and laughter and I'm yours.
