Cupcake Extravaganza!

It was my birthday yesterday. 22 years old. A 22 year old that acts like she's either 85 or 5, according to my boy. He kinda hits the nail on the head there if you ask me :P


Anyway, to celebrate, we held a Cupcake Extravaganza! We baked well over 100 cupcakes the day before, iced them on the Friday (arm cramps are not comfortable, let me tell you) and then set them out just in time for 8pm to roll by and guests to begin arriving. It was a wonderful night and I can't appreciate more the amount of effort he put into the night :) I'm a very loved and lucky girl :)


These are just a couple of images of my favourite cupcakes of our collection. We also had spiders, gummi worms in dirt, moustached faces, Smartie polka dots, Oreo leopard print, marshmallow flowers... It was quite a show!

Need a bit more time to recover now...

Zoo Trip II

Wrangled my way into another zoo trip with the boy! I do love going to the zoo :) And it was so much calmer this time; cold day, kids are still at school, chance of showers.. We really got to have a much better look around :)



Mali, the baby elephant at Melbourne Zoo, still wins my heart. She's so delightful! She acts just like a little cheeky two year old.

Self-portrait

I can't quite remember where I found this photograph, but I was sorting through all the pictures I had gathered on my computer the other day and found this. It just feels like a self-portrait of myself, right now, at this moment. Strange feeling really.

Purpley day

Today my sister and I took my mother on her virgin trip to Greensborough's Savers. For those who haven't been, Savers has to be one of the largest Op Shop stores around. It's massive. And there is sooooooo much awesome stuff there. You could spend all day in there and still not see everything!

One of the best things about it is that not only are garments organised by colour (as they do in the op shop that I work in), but they are also organised by size- making life a whole lot easier.

I couldn't find any dresses I like (that and teapots are my first ports of call), but instead found three lovely jackets. Clearly, I was having a purplely day today :) Mum found a nice skirt and a warm coat, while my sister found a gorgeous marine water green dress which looks stunning on her.

All in all, a job well done. *nods*

Heart it

Thoroughly Modern!

I am now a thoroughly modern woman!

The other day I found a lovely white 1920s flapper style dress in the op-shop. It is now all mine! For a mere $7, I thank you! It must have been a costume for some threate production, but who cares?? I'm loving it so much! I've dressed up in every day since I took it home with me.

Unfortunately though, I seem to be having the same problems as Millie Dillmount: my beads just won't hang straight!

Once I get it dressed up just right, I'll may just post my first modelling picture! How very exciting :)

Love is in the air...

Every once in a while, I get addicted to weddings. And this wedding has just sent me into a tailspin of deilght! These have to be some of the most beautiful wedding photographs I've seen in a long time (maybe even forever? *gasp*)



I won't be getting married any time soon, I know that much :P (Actually, my boyfriend did say something when I showed him my new 1920s white dress I had found at an op shop...) But it doesn't stop a girl from dreaming and planning.



I'd love to do a relaxed, vintage fun kind of theme, but I don't know if I'm cool enough to pull it off...

Cookies for the road?? I'll take one... or two.... or three please!

Frills

I have found the perfect handbag! Isn't it the cutest?? I love the frilly edging :) Not too big, not too small (I can still fit in my purse, camera, lipbalm, handcream, book). Simply perfect.
