All grown out.

You know how sometimes it takes a while to get settled into your hair cut or new hair colour? Well I'm definitely there now. I really love my dirty blonde brown hair colour and cut at the moment.

And guess what else? My fringe has grown out so much so that I can now happily tuck it behind my ear and it won't slip out! It looks quite different like that, but a welcome change.

Melted chocolate and peanut butter soup.

It's delicious. Trust me.

It's been getting cold in Melbourne and I'm trying to get some study done. Inevitably, this means this girl gets a sugar craving. While I now drink coffee, I only like it from a cafe. No instant coffee business please. So I revert back to the ways of hot chocolate. Or rather, melted chocolate and peanut butter soup.

To make melted chocolate and peanut butter soup, maul one of the few left over Easter bunnies. (Yeah, that box of creme eggs? Gone.)

Place mauled bunny in a mug or bowl, depending how much chocolate you have at hand.

Add a dollop of crunchy peanut butter (because we all know that's the best kind of peanut butter).

Place in microwave. I put it in for 30-40seconds. Sometimes it's perfect, sometimes our concoction needs a little longer. Adjust accordingly.

Mix.

Enjoy!

Pretty Purse Please

I have a new purse. A very pretty purse. A very lady purse. It came in this nice box:

I'd been on the prowl for a new purse, as my previous purse (a small, bright red thing) was proving problematic. Lo and behold, I find it while perusing possible presents for Mother's Day.

This one was just too pretty to pass up! And, plenty of pockets!

Serious bling.

The other day was my parent's wedding anniversary. 25(+) years together and still in love :) Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside!

The celebrate the occasion, they both got new rings. Dad's ring is on its way still, but here is Mum's new ring:

The Borgias

Has anyone else been watching The Borgias?

People have been dancing about suggesting that The Borgias are the new Tudors. As you may well know, I'm a major Tudors lover. Having watched about four or five episodes of the Borgias, it's lacking the Tudors love and intrigue. That's not to say I'm not enjoying it. It just lacks the beautiful dresses, romance and royalty of the Tudors.

I do like the overload of betrayal about the place in the Borgias, but I want a love story or two or more as well. Which is why I loved this little story (above) between Lucrezia (Holliday Grainger) and Prince Djem (Elyes Gabel).

My favourite character is definitely the assassin though, Micheletto (Sean Harris, above). He sparks the most intrigue for me.

Above: Two other characters I am fascinated by are love are Cesare (Francois Arnaund) and Giulia Farnese (Lotte Verbeek).

I don't know much around the history of the Borgias and, unlike the Tudors, I feel uninspired to search out the truth. I'm waiting for it to blow me away with awesomenesss. Fingers crossed!

The Wedding

I watched it all. And I loved it. Well, some of the ceremony was boring, but I loved when the now Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared glances and smiles together. I think those bits would be the favourite bits of my wedding, if and when it comes.

Loved the dress. Very Grace Kelly was my first reaction, and the reaction of my friends. I liked that the train was small. I wanted more flowers and a tiara more like Diana's wedding tiara, but that's okay. Very demure and graceful.

Her sister Pippa looked absolutely stunning! Hot hot hot! Gorgeous. Nearly upstaged Catherine. Nearly.

Loved gossiping about some of the guests outfits, hats, shoes, coats. The amount of people wearing black or white amazed me! I know black is kind of okay for weddings now, but I would have stayed well away from it had I been invited to a royal wedding. Same with white. You just don't go there, ever.

And, of course, what the hell was going on with Beatrice of York's hat/headdress/antlers? All I could see was Lady Gaga's lobsters. It was terrible.

Same same, but different?

Cider Festival

Every year, Kellybrook Winery has a Cider Festival. I've only been once before, and my! How it has grown!

Driving on my P's I didn't get to taste test the champagne cider or yummy yummy pear cider, but I grabbed a six pack for later.

It was absolutely beautiful out there today, surrounded by the yellow hills. Wonderful food (especially the toffee apples!) and the fun Morris dancing. I loved it :)
