I'm such a happy little Vegemite right now :)

I've just finished the first week of the second semester of my Master of Teaching (Secondary). While it's been weird adjusting to new classes and a new mix of people, my placement school is brilliant and I've just found I've been accepted into an elective that will allow me to become an English teacher! Double, triple, zipple awesome!

I've always wanted to be a high school teacher (by always, I mean since Year 10), and SOSE/History and English teachers always rated pretty highly on my list of awesome teachers. Now I get to be one! I'm soooooo unbelievably happy! And now I'm even more over the moon because I've just visited my new placement school and it is exactly the kind of school I'd like to work in once my course is finished.

Very happy start to the semester :) Time to eat cake and celebrate! :D

Moscato

Tonight, I have found a new love: the Innocent Bystander's Pink Moscato. Delicious! All my favourite tastes in the world mixed into one :)

They say on the website that it 'tastes like kisses', and it does. But to be more specific, it tastes like the sweet sweet first soft kiss you have on your front porch after a magical first date. Absolutely delicious and darling :)

If you happen to go there (Innocent Bystander/Giant Steps), try out the Innocent Bystander's Pink Moscato sorbet too. Refreshingly wonderful! :)

Tikun Olam

Yesterday, whilst channel surfing with the boy, we happened to stumble upon the film Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist (2008). It's a lovely, sweet movie and I highly recommend you go see it :)

The thing that caught my eye the most though in this film was Kat Denning. She's simply beautiful (as you may be able to pick up on by looking at the photos included in this blog post). She has a bit of Kate Winslet (my ultimate favourite actress), Scarlett Johansson and maybe a sprinkle of Hilary Duff about her. Beautiful beautiful girl.

Cutest quote from the film:
Thom: You just haven't figured it out yet, have you.
Nick: What?
Thom: ...The big picture!
Nick: I guess not.
Thom: The Beatles.
Nick: What about them?
Thom: This.
[grabs Nick's hand]
Thom: Look, other bands, they want to make it about sex or pain, but you know, The Beatles, they had it all figured out, okay? "I Want to Hold Your Hand." The first single. It's effing brilliant, right?... That's what everybody wants, Nicky. They don't want a twenty-four-hour hump sesh, they don't want to be married to you for a hundred years. They just want to hold your hand.

Titanic

Tomorrow I'm going to the Titanic exhibition in Melbourne. I'm very curious to see the 300+ artefacts on display. I know I'm going to be overwhelmed with beauty tomorrow, and a little choked up for those that tragically lost their lives at sea on the voyage.

I can't help but include a beautiful screenshot of Kate Winslet (my favourite actress) from the Titanic film. It still captures my heart.

Toy Story 3

I saw Toy Story 3 the other day, and it could not be more awesome! We were giggling away in the cinema more than the little kids were I think :) So far, this is my favourite movie I've seen this year. Most probably because of the Ken and Barbie storyline throughout and the fantastic lines they share ;)

And because at one point Ken wears one of my Ken's outfits! Famous fashion connection? I think so ;)
